Sweet Cheeks Diamond Bound

After her impressive win in the Maribyrnong trial it was now time to take on the time honoured Maribyrnong Stakes. With the trial and race form looking alot stronger than that of her previous start, and a full field to contend with, it looked a hard task ahead. Not long after jumping Damien Oliver had her positioned well sitting third for most of the race. With 200 to go it looked as though we were back in the winners circle again only to be run down late finishing a gallant second beaten 1.5lgths in a strong time of 57.23sec. Sweet Cheeks has now been sent for a short spell before heading back to hopefully take on the best 2yo's in the land come Blue Diamond time.
