Strela impresses first up

After not racing since July 2017 and placings twice last preparation, Strela was back at the races on his home track of Mornington on December 27th 2017. In a Benchmark 64 over 1000 metres and drawing favourably in barrier 1, jockey Jamie Mott placed the son of Smart Missile just off the speed before pushing through a gap on the turn to runaway and score a conclusive 2.5 length win
