In a 1000mtr 3yo & Up Fillies & Mare Handicap, apprentice jockey Katelyn Mallyon, from a tricky barrier stayed out of the early speed battle to have the mare positioned 7th at the 400mtr mark. With a good run in from the turn she powered away to win by just under a length.
