After a below par performance first up this preperation it was back to the races at Kyneton on March 21st 2018 in a Benchmark 58 over 1450 metres. With some easier sectionals down the back straight the challenges strode up to Saucy Jack on the turn. After being headed narrowly in the straight he dug deep and was strong through the line to score a commanding 1.25 length win making that his second win from only five starts.
