After a more than encouraging first race start at Ballarat on the 7th March 2018, which saw the filly lead all the way and just get ran down, it was back to the races again for the daughter of Squamosa. At Sandown on the 28th March 2018 in a 2yo Fillies Handicap over 1000 metres, jockey Jamie Mott took Ray's Dream straight to the front with her early gate speed, before kicking after straightening and holding off strong challenges to score a narrow but impressive victory
