Apollo Creed Lands A Knockout Blow
After winning his Maiden 9 days earlier, Apollo Creed went up a few weight divisions to take on Saturday city class. In a 2yo Hcp over 1420mtrs on the 25th June 2011 at Flemington, Howie began well and settled midfield 3 wide with cover. With apprentice Daniel Stackhouse aboard he loomed in to the race at the turn before unleashing a strong finishing burst to win by 2 lengths. He has now been spelled and will look to come back over the spring to take on his next challenge.
