On Monday the 11th June 2012, Out Of The Fire headed to his home track in a 0-68 Hcp over 1216 mtrs in what was classed as a Metropolitan meeting. On a Heavy 10 and jumping from barrier 1, jockey Dwayne Dunn was able to have his mount begin well before settling second. At the 400mtr mark he improved into the race hitting the lead at the turn and holding off all challenges to score a commanding 1.3 length win. This now makes it his third win from this preparation.
